It is located in the southwest of Gansu and on the edge of the east of Tibetan-Qinghai Plateau at the cross borders among Gansu,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/qinghai_tour\/\"> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Qinghai<\/span> <\/a>and Sichuan. It has a population of over 30,000 with 84% being Tibetans.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">A large part of Luqu county is at the sea level between 2900 and 4287 with the yearly average temperature at 2.3 degree and the sunshine time of 2222 &#8211; 2351 hours. <\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Luqu County is about 78km away from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/china-travel\/hezuo-trip-my-trip-to-hezuo\/\">Hezuo<\/a><\/span>, the capital city of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province. Langmusi Town is under the administration of Luqu, 90km to the southeast of Luqu.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">&#8220;Luqu&#8221; in Tiebtan literally means &#8220;Tao River&#8221;, one of the important tributaries of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/china-travel\/yellow-river-the-mother-river-of-china\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Yellow River<\/span>.<\/a> Tao River is 673km long with its headwater originating from\u00a0Luqu and\u00a0Qinghai, passing through Luqu ( 330km long in Luqu ),\u00a0and entering Liujiaxia Reservior, which is linked to Yellow River. Tao River also has many small tributaries, like White Dragon River in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/xiahe-travel\/langmusi-trip-my-trip-to-langmusi\/\">Langmusi.<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Luqu is a town on the fringe of Tibetan-Qinghai Plaetau with green alpine meadows in the west and the Tao River in the east. Two third of\u00a0Luqu county is suitable for <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">grazing livestock, like sheep and yak.\u00a0Along the\u00a0Tao River area, a patch of land is developed for agriculture. <\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Luqu has rich tourism resources with unique ethic features &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/china-travel\/gahai-lake-my-trip-to-gahai-lake\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Gahai Lake<\/span>,<\/a> Zecha Stone Forest, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/xiahe-travel\/langmusi-trip-my-trip-to-langmusi\/\">Langmusi.<\/a><\/span>\u00a0 Linked by National Highway No.213, Luqu is incorporated in the golden travel route of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/china-travel\/xiahe-trip-my-trip-to-xiahe\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: The town of Langmusi is only composed of one main street\u00a0with a streem known as \u201cWhite Dragon River\u201d passing by the street.
