Hezuo is the capital city of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province. It is located at the southeast\u00a0fringe of Tibetan-Qinghai Plateau in the cross-border areas of Qinghai<\/a><\/span>, Sichuan and Gansu provinces. The national highway No.223 runs through the city of\u00a0Hezuo, which is 62km west of Xiahe<\/a><\/span>, 260 km south of Lanzhou<\/a><\/span> and 860km north of Chengdu<\/a><\/span>\u00a0with a average altitude of over 3000 meters. <\/span><\/div>\n

Hezuo is an important transit point for travelers coming between Lanzhou and Chengdu, visiting Xiahe, Langmusi, Ruogai Grassland and Jiuzhaigou, a perfect passange travel route between Gansu and Sichuan.<\/span><\/div>\n

From the city of Hezuo, there are daily buses going to Lanzhou, Xiahe, Langmusi and Ruergai. We are approaching the city of Hezuo.<\/span><\/div>\n

About 2km outside the city center of Hezuo is the famous Hezuo Milariba Buddha Pavilion, which was built in 1777. It has an interior nine storeys painted with colorful murals and Tantric deities. <\/span><\/div>\n
