Lanzhou Xiguan Mosque, also known as West Cross Mosque Lanzhou, is a major mosque in Lanzhou<\/span>.<\/a> It was first built in Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644). Later on, the mosque went through two big reconstructions in Qing Dynasty ( 1644 – 1911 ).<\/p>\n

In 1990, a\u00a0arabic styled\u00a0dome was built to add on the original mosque, making the mosque looking more grandeur and solemn. It has become of the most\u00a0magnificent mosques in China<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Xiguan Mosque is located at the western tip of Zhangye Road, the pedestrian street in Lanzhou<\/a>. To visit Xiguan Mosque, it is better to be coupled with the visit to Zhangye Road and Chenghuang Miao Antique Market.<\/p>\n

First walk along Zhangye Road, and visit the Lanzhou Antique Market<\/a><\/span>, then move on to the western end of Zhangye Road, where you can see the two\u00a0high and slender tower of the Mosque.<\/p>\n
