Plan your Xinjiang tour<\/a><\/strong>? \u00a0Urumqi\u00a0is the capital of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China. The Uyghur are a Turkic ethnic group. About 45 % of the total population in Urumqi\u00a0are uyghur people who largely inhabitate around the Grand Bazaar area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today I visited the world famous bazaar in Urumqi, officially named “International Grand Bazaar”, the largest bazaar of this kind in the world. It combines Islamic culture, architecture, ethnic commerce, tourism and entertainment. It is also one of the most important landmarks in Ur\u00fcmqi, and in Xinjiang.<\/p>\n
