The village takes its name from the two huge stones in the village. Its name also suggests the village is built of stones on the ancient post road. Shuangshitou Village is\u00a0now part of \u00a0the Cuanbai Scenic Area which also covers Cuandixia Village, Baiyu Village and Huanglingxi Village.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Overlooking from the hillsides, the over 500-year old ancient village looks like a phoenix extending its wings. Stone culture is found everywhere in the village &#8211; stone mills, stone mortars, stone walls and stone houses built on the stones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Shuangshitou Village is divided naturally into two parts &#8211; east hillside and west hillside. The main village road passes through the village from south to north with the north higher and souther lower. Most the families in the acnient village has two surnames &#8211; Wang and Song. The Stone-top House was built\u00a0between late Ming and Qing Dynasties. People come here to burn incense, worship buddhism, pray for rain, and perform other rituals.<\/p>\n<p>The huge stone is the Shuangshitou Village&#8217;s ancestor stone. It is about 7 meters high and 14 meters long.
