Miao Feng Shan, Mt. Yang Tai Shan and Mt.Jiufeng. &#8220;Jiangou&#8221; literally means &#8220;a gully or valley&#8221;.\u00a0Jiangou Village\u00a0is under the jurisdiction of Miao Feng Shan Town of Mentougou District, Beijing. <\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Jiangou Village boasts beautiful scenery with\u00a0high mountains above,\u00a0rich variety of vegetation &#8211; walnut trees,\u00a0apricot, Yuanbao Pine trees,\u00a0 cloves, and etc. All these decorate the spring, summer, autumn and winter in different colors. Summer\u00a0enjoys fresh air due to\u00a0the formation of a unique mountainous climate, cool and pleasant, with an average temperature lower than the District 5-8 \u2103. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">Jiangou Village is also the nearest stopover both for pilgrims and travelers who go to <\/span><a rel=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/tag\/miao-feng-shan-temple\/\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">Miao Feng Shan Temple<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">\u00a0either along the ancient pilgrimage trail or the highway. There are many households in the village offering dining and accommodations for visitors. In summer and autumn, local villagers are also engaged in fruit picking tourism. <\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">At present, the Jian Gou villagers live on two main trades &#8211; offering rural housing and food\u00a0for visitors as a kind of rural tourism and planting roses. Mian Feng Shan is suitable for the rose farming and planting. Local rose economy has been fast developed. The local flower farmers are radiant with joy. Chinese medicine dealers come here for roses; food and cosmetics factories flock here for these roses planted on the mountain; and\u00a0the products that use roses such as rose essential oil, rose jam and rose wine\u00a0are warmly welcomed by visitors that come to the mountain for a visit and to pick roses.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><font size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">Jiangou&#8217;s history can be traced back to over 500 year ago in Ming Dynasty. Jiangou Village was once the important\u00a0secrect intelligence station of the Communist Party both during the anto-Japanese War and Liberation War from 1937 to 1949. <\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">After\u00a03 and half hours&#8217; hiking along the ancient pilgrimage trail from Yangtaishan Mountain, we find ourselves approaching Jiangou Village. Two village security guides are sitting by the gate half sleeping.
