\nLocated in the Jishi Hills 35 kilometers (22 miles) southwest of Yongjing County, <\/span>Lanzhou<\/span><\/a>\u00a0City, Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves are cultural treasures of the Silk Road. Here lies one of the four most well-known stone caves in China, just second to the Mogao caves in artistic value.
\nThere are now 183 niches, 694 stone statues, 82 clay sculptures and some 900 square meters’ (about 1,076 square yards’) of murals, which are all well preserved. With elegant postures, flying robes and ribbons, the statues are life-like.

\nThe Yellow River passed through the urban district of\u00a0<\/span>Lanzhou<\/span><\/a> city. Yellow River Mother Sculpture is along it. This sculpture is the best of its kind in China. The whole sculpture contains that of a mother and a baby. The mother with long hair, slim figure, lying on the undulate water looks happy and kind. On her breast hold a small kid who bear naive smile. The sculpture connotes that the Yellow River has nourished generations of Chinese.

\nLocated at Qilihe of\u00a0<\/span>Lanzhou<\/span><\/a> City, the Gansu Provincial Museum is a local comprehensive museum. Built in 1956, the museum covers a total area of 18,000 square meters (about 4 acres). Designed by the soviet experts, this museum will provide visitors with a unique and memorable experience.
\nThe Museum boasts 75,000 cultural relics, ranging from natural specimens to historical, revolutionary and national heritages, of which more than 110 pieces are of the first class.

\nBuilt in 1994, The Waterwheel Garden is located in the Binhe Middle Road (Binhe Zhong Lu) in <\/span>Lanzhou<\/span><\/a>, Gansu Province. The garden covers an area of 1.45 hectares (3.58 acres) and is comprised of two waterwheels, a cofferdam, the recreation area and a house of water mill.
\nThe unique-shaped Water Wheel has a long history and the first reference to it appeared in the Ming Dynasty.
\nIt is an ancient device that uses flowing or falling water to create power by means of a set of paddles mounted around a wheel. The force of the water moved the paddles, and the consequent rotation of the wheel is transmitted to machinery via the shaft of the wheel.

\nLocated in the north of\u00a0<\/span>Lanzhou<\/span><\/a> City, the White Pagoda Park got its name due to the amazing White Pagoda inside the park. With images of Buddha on its eight sides, the seven-story pagoda with a height of 17 meters (about 55.8 feet), is a pure white building except for the green top that enhanced the look of the whole building.
\nCovering an area of 8,000 square meters\uff08about two acres), the park has three magnificent and very old architectural complexes inside it. These are built in harmony with the landscape surrounding it and the White Pagoda Mountain behind.

\nFive Springs Park lies in the northwest part of Gaolan Mountain, which stands in the south part of the downtown area in\u00a0<\/span>Lanzhou<\/span><\/a> City. It is the largest park in Lanzhou, with an area of 266,400 square meters.
\nThe park is well-known for its tranquil and beautiful scenery with lush forest, gurgling springs, a lot of ancient temples. \u201cFive Springs\u201d include Ganlu Spring, Juyue Spring, Mozi Spring, Meng Spring and Hui Spring.

\nZhongshan Bridge is the first bridge over the Yellow River. It lies at the foot of Bai Ta Mountain and in front of Jin Cheng Pass in Lanzhou city, the capital of Gansu Province. It was built as a float bridge in 7 miles west of <\/span>Lanzhou<\/span><\/a>.
\nExtending for 233.33 meters long and 7.5 meters high, it was the first bridge built on the Yellow River and was first called “Lanzhou Yellow River Iron Bridge”. In 1954, Lanzhou People Government had reinforced it and added five steel arc girders what made the bridge looks solid and durable, grandiose as today we see.
