Beijing Tianjin Expressway is the second expressway linking Beijing and Tianjin ( including Tianjin Cruise Port).<\/span><\/p>\n

For Beijing Tianjin cruise port road transfer, most of the passengers use this second expressway linking Tianjin and Beijing.<\/p>\n

The first expressway linking Beijing and Tianjin cruise port is\u00a0officially referred as \u00a0Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway. But it is now rarely used for the cruise port transfer. The first Beijing Tianjin Expressway was completed in 1993, which is also the first expressway in China.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now the first expressway is very often teemed with trucks and lorries, making the traffic very slow. That’s why the second expressway is needed to release the traffic congestion and speed the Beijing Tianjin transfer by road.<\/p>\n

Beijing Tianjin Expressway is a four-lane expressway\u00a0with a total length of 130km, 2\/3 under the jurisdiction of Tianjin, 1\/3 under Beijjing.<\/span><\/p>\n

It has three toll gates with\u00a0the second\u00a0one standing at the prefecture\u00a0border\u00a0area between Beijing and Tianjin. There are\u00a0four service areas along the 130km expressway, where you can expect a snack store, a toilet and a restaurant.<\/p>\n

Beijing downtown to the starting point of Beijing Tianjin Expressway is about 20km,\u00a0Tianjin Cruise Port<\/span><\/a> to the Toll Gate of the expressway about 30km, totalling 180km driving distance between Beijing and Tianjin Cruise Port, the driving time approxi. 2 hours if you are lucky to have fine weather and good traffic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tianjin Cruise Port – the Starting Point of Beijing Tianjin Expressway: 30km
\n<\/span><\/strong>Now follow me to have a road trip from the Tianjin Cruise Port to the downtown Beijing driving along Beijing Tianjin Expressway. <\/span>Tianjin Cruise Port<\/span><\/a> is located in the Dongjiang Port of Tianjin Port\u00a0in New Binhai Area of Tianjin.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Tianjin Cruise Port<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is linked by No.08 New Xingang Road to Yaojin Road. No.08 New Xingang Road is a man made offshore road due to a land reclamation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The road has a beautiful view\u00a0as if the road\u00a0was floating on the sea. \u00a0Now we are on the No.08 Xingang Road (\u65b0\u6e2f8\u53f7\u8def).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the end of the No.08 Xingang Road, you find yourself at\u00a0a crossroad, then turn left and drive on the Yaojin Road (\u8dc3\u8fdb\u8def).\u00a0 Now we are on the Yaojin Road.<\/span><\/p>\n

Turn right the next crossroad – No.07 Xingang Road Crossroad (\u65b0\u6e2f\u7b2c\u4e03\u53f7\u8def\u53e3). Here you can see lots of trucks and lorries going\u00a0in and out , where is the main gate of Tianjin Port, also a checkpoint to supervise each truck or lorries in and out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We are driving on the Ninth Avenue from east to west (\u7b2c\u4e5d\u5927\u9053).<\/span><\/p>\n

Driving along the Ninth Avenue and soon you will come across the north-south Nanhai Road ( \u5357\u6d77\u8def) with a placard showing the direction of Jingjin Expressway (Beijing Tianjin Expressway) at the end of Nanhai Road in the north. So we are going to turn right and drive along Nanhai Road.<\/p>\n

At the end of Nanhai Road, now we are going to embark on the overpass linking the Beijing Tianjin Expressway. <\/span><\/div>\n

Now we are approaching the Toll Gate of Beijing Tianjin Expressway on Tianjin’s side. The Toll fee is RMB 50 per car. <\/span><\/div>\n

At the toll gate I check the mileage on my car, it reads 30km. So from Tianjin Cruise Port\u00a0to the Toll Gate is about 30km’s driving distance.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you go to\u00a0<\/span>Tianjin Airport<\/span><\/a> or\u00a0<\/span>Tianjin Railway Station<\/span><\/a> you are supposed to turn right and get off the Beijing Tianjin Expressway.<\/span><\/div>\n

At the distance of 60km after the first Toll Gate, we come across the second service area – Meichang (\u6885\u5382).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Now it is the exit for Langfang, a city Between Beijing and Tianjin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the distance of 90km, we see the third\u00a0 service area on the expressway – Baigutun Service Area (\u767d\u53e4\u5c6f\u505c\u8f66\u533a). We drive into the area and have a shirt break there.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main service building is composed of a restaurant on the right side, a snack store in the middle and a toilet on the left side.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Soon we reach the second Toll Gate – Gaocun Toll Gate and enter the 1\/3 Beijing Tianjin Expressway under Beijing’s control. We pay RMB 15 for this section of the expressway. <\/span><\/div>\n
