Xian City Wall<\/strong><\/span><\/a>
\nThe ancient City Wall of\u00a0Xian<\/span><\/a> is the most intact ancient Chinese wall in existence. The City Wall as seen today was constructed on the foundations of the city walls from the Sui (581-617) and Tang (618-904) Dynasties, during the reign of Emperor Hongwu (1370-1378) of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1627). The current six hundred year old City Wall is the most integrated ancient City Wall in China.
\nThe first landmark visitors will encounter in Xi’an is the ancient city wall, which stretches round the old city with 13,912 meters in circumference, 12 meters in height, the foundation is 18 meters in width, and the top of the wall is 15 meters wide.

<\/a>Army of Terra-Cotta Warriors<\/strong><\/span><\/a>
\nTo visit Army of Terra Cotta Warriors is the main reason why you are here in Xian<\/span><\/a>. Army of Terra-Cotta Warriors is the most famous site in Xian which were buried around the mausoleum of Emperor Qi Shihuang (221BC-206BC). 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots and weapons arranged in battle formations symbolically, guarding the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. What makes the Terracotta warriors in Xian so amazing is that each one is life size and unique? Each face is different and clothing and hairstyles have individual characteristics. The Terracotta Warriors Museum contains four partial excavated pits named: Pit 1, Pit2, Pit3, and Pit4.

The Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show, a wonderful performance of the ancient music and dance, is a must when you visit Xian<\/span><\/a>. The show characterizes the color, culture, music and dance. The Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show is an outstanding exponent of this ancient stable and prosperous society, keeping alive its splendid culture and providing an insight into the peaceful life style of the period. Visitors upon entering the theater are taken to their seats for a dinner of Jiaozi (dumplings). The dumplings are as beautiful as they are delicious and the best part is that the dinner is all that you can eat.

Bell & Drum Towers<\/strong><\/span><\/a>
\nIn Chinese history from Ming Dynasty, each city had a bell tower and a drum tower. The bell was sounded at dawn and the drum at dusk each day in ancient time, a means of telling time. The Drum and Bell towers, located in the exact center of Xian, are two of the most famous symbol. The Bell Tower is located in the exact center of the city and the Drum Tower is located a block away. Originally built in 648 by a Tang prince, this temple compound has been beautifully restored. Its buildings and gardens offer a park-like atmosphere in which to wander. The pagoda was built to store sutras brought back from India by a Chinese monk.
\nThe temple complex in which the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located is filled with beautiful gardens and stunning architecture. The many gardens hidden amongst the temple’s many courtyards are very lovely and a wonderful place for visitors to take a break and soak in the beauty that surrounds them.

Small Wild Goose Pagoda<\/strong><\/span><\/a>
\nThe Small Wild Goose Pagoda, one of Xian’s major tourist sites, has recently undergone a lot of development and been made part of a much larger scenic area. Located in the southern suburb of Xian<\/span><\/a>, about 2 kilometers to the south of the City Wall. Covering an area of 16.3 hectares (40.4 acres), the Small Wild Goose Pagoda mainly consists of the Xian Museum, the ancient Jianfu Temple built in the year 684 A.D during the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and the famous Small Wild Goose Pagoda. The scenic area has become a wonderful leisure site for the appreciation of cultural relics, sightseeing and entertainment.

Shaanxi Provincial History Musuem<\/strong><\/span><\/a>
\nThe Shaanxi Historical Museum, a large-scale modern State-class museum, is situated at the western side of the “Wild Goose Pagoda” in Xian City. It covers an area of about 70,000 square meters, the architectural area of which is approximately 55,000 square meters. Opened to the public on June 20, 1991, the museum is divided into three main parts for overall display, for temporary display and for display on special topics.

Lying close to the capital Xi’an, with the charming scenery of Lishan as a backdrop, the natural hot springs has held great attraction for the emperors who set their capital in the northwest China province of Shaanxi.

\nOnce the site of the Temple of Confucius during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), the Forest of Stone Steles Museum is situated on Sanxue Street, near the south gate of\u00a0 Xian<\/span><\/a>\u00a0City Wall. It was initially established in AD1087 when some precious stone steles were moved here for safe keeping, including the \u201cClassic on Filial Piety\u2019 written by Emperor Xuanzong in AD 745 and \u201cthe Kaicheng Stone Steles\u2019 carved in AD837\u201d.

Xian Muslim Quarters and the Great Mosque<\/strong><\/span><\/a>
\nMoslem Street is the hub of the Moslem community in Xian<\/span><\/a>\u00a0City, Shaanxi Province. Located beside the Drum Tower, it is about 500 meters (about 547 yards) long from south to north. This street is paved with dark colored stone with green trees providing heavy shade during summer; the buildings on both sides of the street are modeled on the styles of both the Ming (1368-1644) and the Qing Dynasties (1644-1911). Some of the constructions are restaurants; while others are stores. But here there is one thing in common: the owners are all Moslems.
