General\u00a0travel\u00a0information about Wuyi Mountain
\n<\/strong>Wuyishan is a mountain range located in the prefecture of Nanping, in the northern border of Fujian province with Jiangxi province. Mount Wuyi entered UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites in 1999.<\/p>\n

There are many beautiful sceneries in Wuyi Mountain. The cliffs and waters of Wuyi Mountain are outstanding. The average height of the peaks is over 1,000 meters above sea level. Wuyi Mountain is also known for being of great historic and cultural value. The beauty of the mountain and its waters has made Wuyi known as the most attractive mountain in southeast China.<\/p>\n

The Top \u00a010 Places in Wuyishan<\/strong><\/p>\n

No. 01: The\u00a0Nine Crooked Creek <\/a>(\u4e5d\u66f2\u6eaa\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>)
\nCovering an area of 8.5 square kilometers, the Nine-Crooked Creek is the essence and the centerpiece of Mount Wuyi<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Its meandering course forms nine distinct crooks or angles . Hence its name, the Nine-Crooked Creek is flanked on either side by mountain peaks and stones of various weird shapes that are entwined with various watercourses.Each crook forms a unique picturesque\u00a0 and poetic landscape and each landscape has its own name. Visitors can ride on a bamboo raft to enjoy it.You can visit the Nine Crooked Creek at any time of the year, and the best time is in June and July.<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>No. 02: Tianyou Peak<\/a> (\u5929\u6e38\u5cf0)
\n<\/strong>Tianyou Peak is located in the center of the Mount Wuyi\u00a0<\/span>Scenic Area. With an area of 4 square kilometers, its frequently shrouded in clouds and mist, it towers aloft over clusters of peaks.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n

This scenic area includes Tianyou Peak; Tea Cave, Yuhua Peak, Cloud Nest, Snowflake Spring, Immortal Bathing Pond, Huma Ravine and Yilan Pavilion. It is the most beautiful spot in the Wuyishan Scenic Area.<\/p><\/div>\n

There are a dozen or so caves in the area. In the mornings and evenings in spring and autumn, clouds and mist often come out of the caves, now moving among the peaks, now gathering together, and now scattering. \n<\/span>No. 03: One Line Sky<\/a> (\u4e00\u7ebf\u5929\uff09
\n<\/strong>One Line Sky, also called Lingyan, is located at the southwestern of Mount Wuyi. One Line Sky scenic area is a magical cave of Wuyi Mountain.\u00a0Covering an area of 16 square kilometers , this area is famous for the linear view of the sky. Visitors can get at the bottom of the valley. Main scenic spots includes the Ling Cave, the Wind Cave , the Fuxi Cave, and the One-Line-Sky view.<\/p>\n

The Blue Rock and the Pavilion Rock opposite the three caves are also noted for its rugged beauty and steepness and diversified recession structures. The hottest time to visit One Line Sky Scenic Area is from April to October.<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>No. 04: Wuyi Palace<\/a> (\u6b66\u5937\u5bab)
\n<\/strong>The Wuyi Palace is the oldest palace in the Wuyishan<\/span>\u00a0which is situated at the foot of the Great King Peak.<\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n

The Wuyi Palace was first built in the Tianbao years (742-755 AD) of the Tang Dynasty and expanded to include more than 300 halls in the Song Dynasty.In mid autumn every year, sacrificial activities would be held in honor of Lord Wuyi and the Venerable Royal Lady.Currently, two dragon wells, the Wannian Palace and the Sanqing Hall are kept intact.<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>No. 05: The Roaring Tiger Scenic Area<\/a> (\u864e\u5578\u5ca9)
\n<\/strong>Being one of the 36 most famous mountain peaks in Mt. Wuyi, the Roaring Tiger Peak is very steep and detached from other peaks around. Not only is the mountain in the shape of roaring tiger but also sounds resembling tigers roars can be heard every time the wind sweeps through the pine forest.<\/p>\n

Hence this beautiful alpine name. The Roaring Tiger area, for all intents and purposes, is divided into small units by the rock, similar to perambulating tour routine. The routine generally circle the Roaring Tiger peak with beautiful scenes feasting your eyes one after another.<\/p>\n

The Roaring Tiger Scenic Area<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

No. 06: Water Curtain Cave <\/a>(\u6c34\u5e18\u6d1e)
\n<\/strong>Located in the north side of Zhangtang Brook, the Water Curtain Cave is the biggest rock cave and one of the famous seventy-two caves in the Mount Wuyi Scenic Area.<\/p>\n

The Water Curtain Cave is formed due to the subsidence of the relatively soft rock strata of the horizontal rock strata as a result of flowing water erosion. The whole area of the cave is about 100 square meters.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, unlike limestone caves, the Water Curtain Cave is spacious enough and can accommodate about one thousand people. Looking through luminous crystal and pearl-like water curtain, you can enjoy the great view of tea garden which is in the bonsai style of Wuyishan.<\/p>\n

No. 07: Dahongpao Scenic Area<\/a> ( \u5927\u7ea2\u888d\u666f\u533a\uff09
\n<\/strong>Dahongpao Scenic Area (Big Red Robe) is famed for the six\u00a0 350-year-old \u201cDahongpao\u201d female trees. This is an absolute must. It is home of many well-known teas, Take an example of Dahongpao.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dahongpao Tea, also known as the Emperor of Tea, is a lightly fermented oolong. It only grows around the Wuyishan\u00a0rocks. It originated from wild rare tea plants that were found growing on the cliff of Wuyi Mountain.<\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>No. 08: Xiamei Village\u00a0<\/a>(\u6b66\u5937\u5c71\u4e0b\u6885\u53e4\u6c11\u5c45 \uff09
\n<\/strong>Xiamei Village is located about 10km east of Mount Wuyi National Resort and 8km southeast of Wuyishan City. \u00a0At the time of my writing, there are no shuttle buses connecting Xiamei Village to Wuyi Mountains National Resort or Wuyishan City. You may take a local taxi or minivan around RMB 30. You\u2019d ask your taxi driver to wait for you on the return trip to your hotel since there is no public transport in the village.<\/p>\n

You need to pay RMB 60 to visit the village as kinda of fund to support the village. Most of the young people have left from the village for bigger cities. We don\u2019t know how long the ancient village can sustain. A Chinese speaking tour guide will be offered to show you around in case you are lost in the maze of the village.<\/p>\n

Xiamei Village is well known for its vernacular Ming and Qing Dwellings featuring exquisite brick, stone and wood carvings. A 900 meters long man made river winds cross the village from west to east, making a landscape of water and village in southern China.<\/p>\n

No. 09: The Longchuan Grand Canyon \uff08\u9f99\u5ddd\u5927\u5ce1\u8c37\uff09
\n<\/strong>The Longchuan Grand Canyon is 21 kilometers away from the Mt. Wuyi tour area and 18 kilometers from the core area of the Mount Wuyi\u00a0preserve.<\/p>\n

The moment you step into this canyon world, you enter a realm of gardens and waterfalls. Ancient trees with giant vines entwined thrusts into the sky. Elegant water fountains runs along the rugged surface of the mountains.Silvery water curtains bounce off the mountain just to reflect the colorful sunshine. All makes you feel you have entered a fairy land. You can go there any time of the year.<\/p>\n

Longchuan Grand Canyon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

No. 10: Qinglong Waterfall \uff08\u9752\u9f99\u5ce1\uff09
\n<\/strong>The Qinglong waterfall, or Green Dragon waterfall, is located on the west of the Grand Canyon ecology park in Mount Wuyi. Qinglong waterfall is known as the No. 1 Waterfall in East China.<\/p>\n

The 40-meter-wide Qinglong Waterfall at Tianzidi that cascades downhill from a height of 120 meters. The big waterfall flows swiftly and directly to the bottom of the canyon. The length is more than 200 meters; the fall is more than 120 meters. When you see the Qinglong waterfall, you will be unable to resist its natural charm. The best time for traveling Qinglong Waterfall is June to September.<\/p>\n
