Most of the round buildings are three stories high with a diameter of 70-80 meters. The temple is one of the outstanding examples of Chinese architecture and art.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flying musicians are carved on pillars that support the roof of the Hall of One Hundred Pillars. The two pagodas that stand opposite each other in front of the main hall in the temple, Purple Cloud Hall, are octagonal five-tier stone buildings with exquisite carvings. Two images of Buddha are carved on each of the eight sides. In a narrow sense, Taimu Mountain refers to the mountainous area centered on Fuding Peak in Qinyu Town in the south of Fuding City. It is also the core area of Taimu Mountain Scenic Spot. It is 45 kilometers south of Fuding City. It stands on the shore of the East China Sea, facing the sea on three sides and backing mountains on one side. It has a land area of 14.35 square kilometers and a population of 38,000 with the coastline of 30.4 kilometers.  The island is 9.6 kilometers long from north to south and 1.3 kilometers wide from east to west.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meizhou island, known as &#8220;Southland Penglai&#8221; boasts the Mazu Temple, the gold beaches,  the little stone forest and more scenic spots. Especially It is known for being the birthplace of the goddess Mazu. There are more than 400 islands in Xiapu.
