Gulangyu Island<\/a> covers an area of 1.78 square kilometers and stands opposite to Xiamen City across the sea. It is home to about 20,000 people and is a very popular tourist destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the many scenic spots on the island, the most attractive are Sunlight Rock and the Shuzhuang Garden. Gulangyu Island<\/a> is renowned for its beaches and winding lanes and its varied architecture. Wuyishan<\/a> is a mountain range located in the prefecture of Nanping, in the northern border of <\/span>Fujian<\/span> province<\/span> with Jiangxi province. Mount Wuyi<\/a> entered UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites in 1999.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cliffs and waters of Wuyi Moun<\/a>t<\/a>ain<\/a> are outstanding. The average height of the peaks is over 1,000 meters above sea level. Wuyishan is also known for being of great historic and cultural value. No. 03: Earth Towers of the Hakkas <\/strong>\u798f\u5efa\u571f\u697c<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Earth Towers of the Hakkas in Fujian is well-known for its long history, unique style, large scale, exquisite structure, varied functions and rich connotation. These buildings were constructed using fire-resistive material and therefore practically impregnable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ones that are round in shape are the most famous. Most of the round buildings are three stories high with a diameter of 70-80 meters. The formation of the Earth buildings amplify the wisdom and creativeness of the ancestors of the Hakkas settlers in Yongding County and Nanjing County, Fujian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. 0<\/strong>4: Peitian Village \u57f9\u7530\u53e4\u6751<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Peitian Village<\/a> is located in Liancheng County of Longyan City <\/a>in west Fujian. It is about 100km northeast of Longyan and 300km northeast of Xiamen.<\/a> The Ming and Qing building complex has been well preserved with a history of over 800 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. 5: Three Lanes and Seven Alleys in Fuzhou \u4e09\u574a\u4e03\u5df7<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Three Lanes and Seven Alleys<\/strong> ( Sanfang Qixiang in Chinese) is a national 5A level tourist attraction in F<\/a>u<\/a>zhou.<\/a> It is one of the remaining historic districts in the old city of Fuzhou after the city urbanization process. Fuzhou is the source of history, the root of culture, cultural prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since Jin and Tang Dynasties, the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys<\/strong> had been the settlements of aristocrats and scholar-officials, and they became brilliant from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are about 270 ancient dwellings in this area, and 159 of them have been listed as protected buildings. Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, represented by nine typical buildings such as the former residences of Shen Baozhen, Lin Jemin and Yan Fu, have been declared as national key cultural relic protection units by the State Council. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kaiyuan Temple, which is situated in West Street of Quanzhou City, is the largest temple in Fujian Province. The temple is one of the outstanding examples of Chinese architecture and art.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flying musicians are carved on pillars that support the roof of the Hall of One Hundred Pillars. The two pagodas that stand opposite each other in front of the main hall in the temple, Purple Cloud Hall, are octagonal five-tier stone buildings with exquisite carvings. Two images of Buddha are carved on each of the eight sides. Forty ancient Buddhist tales are inscribed on the walls of one of the pagodas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taimu Mountain, located in the northeast of Fujian Province. In a narrow sense, Taimu Mountain refers to the mountainous area centered on Fuding Peak in Qinyu Town in the south of Fuding City. It is also the core area of Taimu Mountain Scenic Spot. It is 45 kilometers south of Fuding City. It stands on the shore of the East China Sea, facing the sea on three sides and backing mountains on one side. The main peak is 917.3 meters above sea level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. 09: Meizhou Island \u6e44\u6d32\u5c9b<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Meizhou Island, only 1.82 nautical miles away from the mainland, is located 42 kilometers southeast of Putian City, Fujian. It has a land area of 14.35 square kilometers and a population of 38,000 with the coastline of 30.4 kilometers. The island is 9.6 kilometers long from north to south and 1.3 kilometers wide from east to west.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meizhou island, known as “Southland Penglai” boasts the Mazu Temple, the gold beaches, the little stone forest and more scenic spots. Especially It is known for being the birthplace of the goddess Mazu. The Heavenly Empress Palace-Meizhou Ancestral Temple has now been renovated and greatly enlarged to accommodate pilgrims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is located in a coastal peninsular area with the coastline of 505 kilometers. There are more than 400 islands in Xiapu. The long coastline and numerous islands and harbors have become the geographical characteristics of Xiapu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
