Plan your Hangzhou tour<\/a>? Hangzhou has two major train stations \u2013  Hangzhou East Railway ( the new one) and Hangzhou Railway Station ( the old one). Hangzhou East Railway Station is designed to receive most of the high speed trains in and out of Hangzhou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main building of Hangzhou East Railway Station has a total construction area of 340,000 square meters. It comprises 5 floors \u2013 First Floor: platforms for highspeed trains in and out; Second floor is the huge waiting hall flanked by departure gates leading to several different platforms on the ground floor for coming and leaving trains ; B1 is the arrival hall where you can find the taxi service at the east and west sides; B2 and B3 are designed for subway (Now Subway Line 1 and Subway Line 4 ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hangzhou East Railway Stations has two squares attached to the east and west sides of the main building \u2013 East and West squares where you have public buses connecting the main areas in the downtown Hangzhou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from taxis and public buses, subway is the most convenient mode of transport coming to or leaving from the train station. Subway Line 1 and Subway Line 4 are designed for the east railway station. At the time of my writing, only subway line 1 is available, connecting the east train station to the downtown Hangzhou and the famous West Lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
