Basically you have four alternatives as for the inter-city transportation between Beijing and Datong: by rail, air, &nbsp;long-distance bus, or you may also pay a little more to hire a car or van for a comfortable transfer from Beijing to Datong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"going-by-train-from-beijing-to-datong\">Going by train from Beijing to Datong&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, let&#8217;s first talk about the rail transfer from Beijing to&nbsp;Datong. But please keep in mind there are mainly <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/trains\/beijing_railway_stations\" target=\"_blank\">4 railway stations in Beijing<\/a>, some of the regular trains start either from<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/trains\/beijing_railway_stations\/#x1\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/trains\/beijing_railway_stations\/#x1\" target=\"_blank\"> Beijing Railway Station<\/a> or <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/trains\/beijing_railway_stations\/#x2\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/trains\/beijing_railway_stations\/#x2\" target=\"_blank\">Beijing West Railway Station<\/a>, so make sure you get to the right train station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, if you take the non-highspeed trains from Beijing, or from Datong, keep in mind that<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/datong_transportation\/datong_railway_station.php\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/datong_transportation\/datong_railway_station.php\" target=\"_blank\"> Datong Railway Station<\/a> is designed for regular trains; for high speed or bullet trains, go to <strong>Datong South Railway Station<\/strong> (new station).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"getting-to-datong-from-beijing-by-long-distance-bus\">Getting to Datong from Beijing by Long-distance Bus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The long-distance buses for Datong from Beijing mainly start from Beijing Liuliqiao Long-Distance Bus Station \uff08\u5317\u4eac\u5e02\u516d\u91cc\u6865\u957f\u9014\u6c7d\u8f66\u7ad9).&nbsp; Add: Jia 19, Liuliqiao Nanli, Fengtai District, Beijing \uff08\u4e30\u53f0\u533a\u516d\u91cc\u6865\u5357\u91cc\u753219\u53f7). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"470\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-get-from-Beijing-to-Datong.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-30280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-get-from-Beijing-to-Datong.jpg 620w, https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-get-from-Beijing-to-Datong-300x227.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><figcaption> <strong><em>Get to Datong from Beijing by Long-distance Bus <\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>You can easily get to Beijing Liuliqiao Long-distance Bus Station by taking the public bus numbered 340, 982, 941, 300, 323, and 324.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are daily 12 long-distance buses running between Beijing and Datong using Beijing Liuliqiao Long-Distance Bus Station.&nbsp; The first bus leaves at 7: 10 and the last bus at 18:00. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three long-distance bus stations in Datong, namely Datong Long -distance Bus Station, North Passenger Transport Station and&nbsp; Xinnan Passenger Bus Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Xinnan Passenger Bus Station (\u5927\u540c\u65b0\u5357\u7ad9)&nbsp;is used for the buses heading to Beijing,&nbsp; Taiyuan, Xian, Zhengzhou,&nbsp; Tianjin, and Luoyang. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So you will arrive at or leave from Xinnan Passenger Bus Station if you are going to Datong from Beijing or vice versa.
