Many oversea visitors would choose to\u00a0visit the famous museum in Guangzhou – Guangzhou Mausoleum of Nanyue King.\u00a0 The large and modern musuem is set up on the the burial site of the Nanyue King.\u00a0 Nanyue is\u00a0an ancient kingdom that \u00a0established in 204 BC\u00a0 and ended during the Qin Dynasty by Zhao Tuo, who was the military commander of Nanyue.<\/p>\n

In addition to the amazing burial site, the musuem also has\u00a0the rare collection\u00a0 of over 200 pottery pillows housed in\u00a0a permanent exhibitioon gallery – Ceramic Pillows Exhibition Gallery.\u00a0 All the pottery pillows are donated by the Hong Kong famous collector and industralist Yeung Wing Tak and his wife.<\/p>\n

The Yeungs\u00a0 are ardent collectors and lovers of pottery and porcelain. Their main interest is focused on the collection of ceramic pillows.\u00a0 Through years of collection, they have built up a collection of over 200 pottery pillows.\u00a0 They think all the works of arts are the common cultural heritage of mankind.\u00a0\u00a0They decided to donate all their collection to the public aimed at letting more people appreciate the cematic pillow culture.<\/p>\n

In 1991,\u00a0 the local Guangzhou government decided to build the permanent exhibition gallery to accommodate these priceless pottery pillows housed in the Mausoleum of Nanyue King.<\/p>\n

It is very convenient to get to the Ceramic Pillows Exhibition housed in the Mausoleum of Nanyue King (Address: 867 Jiefang North Rd, Yuexiu, Guangzhou): Take subway Line 2 and get off at the station of Yuexiu Park (\u8d8a\u79c0\u516c\u56ed) and use Exit E. Walking along the sideway to the north direction for about 5 minutes, you will see a vermilion building \u2013 Guangzhou Mausoleum of Nanyue King.<\/p>\n
