Plan your Beijing night tour<\/strong><\/a>? There are some interesting night places worth your visiting in Beijing\u00a0either for shopping or night view photography.\u00a0 Last time I wrote a blog post tiltled ” Top 10 Things to Do in Beijing at Night<\/strong><\/a>“, which may be of some help for you to find a favorite night hangout.<\/p>\n

Among the top 10 night places, The Place<\/strong><\/a> ( \u4e16\u8d38\u5929\u9636 in Chinese ) has been one of my favorite\u00a0ones to spend for about 10 minutes. Why only 10 minutes? Well, I’m not passionate about\u00a0its luxury shopping and upscale gourmet experience. Instead, its huge rooptop TV screen could always catch my heart\u00a0for a while, and I do enjoy\u00a0\u00a0high technique, lighting and the space art accompanied by music.\u00a0\u00a0 The Place<\/strong><\/a> is said designed by Jeremy Railton,who is\u00a0also the designer for the world largest electric screen in Las Vegas in the States.<\/p>\n

The sky TV screen is 250m long and 30m wide, the second largest after the one in Las Vegas in the States. But in terms of technique, Beijing’s The Place has the No.1 led screen in the world, much advanced than its\u00a0competitor in\u00a0Las Vegas.\u00a0 The Place’s huge led screen is nicknamed “All Beijing look up” simply because visitors have to look up at the magic screen showing different themes of videos.<\/p>\n

The Place is open 365 days every year.\u00a0 Opening hours: 10:00 – 22:00.\u00a0 Below is the opening time for the huge TV screen:<\/p>\n

Winter Time: 17:00 – 22:00 ( every half hour ); Summer Time: 19:30 – 23:00 (every half hour )<\/p>\n

How to get there<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Subway Line 1\u00a0:\u00a0 Take subway line 1 and get off at the station of Yonganli (\u6c38\u5b89\u91cc), exit from the exit B, then walk for about 10 minutes, you will get to The Place.<\/p>\n

2. Subway Line 10: Take subway 10 and get off at the station of Jintaixizhao (\u91d1\u53f0\u5915\u7167) and exit from Exit A and walk to the west for about 10 minutes, you will reach The Place.<\/p>\n

A few days ago I went there and\u00a0shot some pictures \u00a0of the Place\u00a0 and its huge rooftop screen.<\/p>\n

The east-west\u00a0huge screen is flanked by\u00a0\u00a0two luxury buildings and people walk around and look up under the rooftop screen.<\/p>\n

People\u00a0just stand in awe gaping up a 100 feet overhead at the football size screen.<\/p>\n

Just\u00a0watching the local \u00a0Chinese\u00a0visitors enjoy themselves\u00a0under the\u00a0massive space is a\u00a0fun to feel.<\/p>\n

You may also\u00a0\u00a0consider a different evening out,\u00a0\u00a0having coffee or dinner\u00a0by the window in the restaurants,\u00a0 listening to the Jazz music, and\u00a0look at the show above you.<\/p>\n

At the east end of the screen, you will see a large flower basket\u00a0 decorated with horse toys and illuminated red lanterns.<\/p>\n
