Arriving at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, you have\u00a0three tools of city transportation to choose bringing you from Baiyun airport to the downtown of Guangzhou city, namely Subway, taxi, shuttle bus. Taking subway when you arrive is most convenient and economical though sometimes it cannot take you to your lodging hotel directly and in most cases you have to again\u00a0connect taxi or public\u00a0buse for your final destination in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two arrival areas in Guangzhou Baiyun Airport – Area A and Area B.  The entrance to the Airport Subway is located on the minus-one floor  of Area B. So if you arrive at Area A, you have to go down to the minus-one floor by the Gate 4 inside the hall of Area A.  A long  airport conveyor will take you through a long corridor from the minus-one floor of Area A to the minus-one floor of Area B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reaching the minus-one floor of Area B,  you just follow the subway sign to the subway service center to purchase your subway tickets. There are several automatic ticket selling machines,which are a bit hard for new comers. So you may line up in front of the subway service center, you will be guided by the staff at the center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before arriving at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, you’d better spend a little time to study the metro system of Guangzhou. At the time of my writing, there are 6 subway lines in operation – Line 1,Line2,Line 3, Line 4, Line 5 and Line 8. The subway starting from Baiyun Airport is Subway Line 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The subway Line 3 at Baiyun Airport connects Subway Line 2 at the 4th station of Jiahewanggang; connects Subway Line 1 at the 11th station of Guangzhou Eastern Railway Station; connects Subway Line 5 at the 14th station of Zhujiang New Town; connects Subway Line 8 at the 16th station of Kecun. Well, just follow me to feel the actual process of taking the airport subway from Arrival Area A of Baiyun Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the Gate 4 inside the arrival hall of Area A, you take the escalator down to the minus-one floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you are on the minus-one floor, you use the long conveyor to get to the minus-0ne floor of Area B of Baiyun Airport where the entrance to the subway is located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will see the subway information center and service center where you can easily get your assistance for the staff for your trip to your final destination. Generally, Guangzhou subway is less crowded than that of Beijing and Shanghai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
