After their visit of Forbidden City and exit from its north gate,\u00a0most\u00a0of the visitors\u00a0want to continue their day trips to other attractions or destinations in Beijing like Jinshan Park\u00a0( just opposite the north gate of Forbiden City), Wangfujing Street, Beijing Zoo, Summer Palace, Fragrance Hill, Temple of Heaven, Badaling Great Wall, Beijing Railway Station, Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station…,<\/p>\n

But many people are totally bewildered by Jinshan Front Street in front of the north gate of Forbidden City, which is inaccessible and blocked by fences on both sides of the road. And\u00a0visitors are\u00a0at a loss\u00a0on how to take a bus, taxi or subway since there are no buses, no taxis and no subway lines by the north gate of Forbidden City.<\/p>\n

As a matter of fact,\u00a0at the north tip of the open area in front of the north gate of Forbidden City, there is a signboard written in English keeping you informed of Beijing public trasnportation by the north gate.<\/p>\n

<\/span>1. Jinshan Park ( Prospect Hill or Coal Hill )
\n<\/strong><\/span>Jinshan Park is just opposite the north gate of Forbidden City, but you are not allowed to cross the street. To visit Jinshan Park ( Prospect Hill ), you are advised to use the underpass 20 meters in the west.<\/p>\n

<\/span>2. <\/strong><\/span>Beihai Park Beijing<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a>This park is approxi 800 meters west of the north gate of Forbidden City, just 10-minute walking.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a03. <\/strong><\/span>Summer Palace<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/div>\n
First take the underpass to cross the street and walk west to the Bus No.103 and get off at Beijing Zoo Station, then connect Bus 332 for Summer Palace.<\/p>\n

4. <\/strong><\/span><\/span>Badaling Great Wall<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Walk westward and find the Bus No.5 and drop off at Deshengmen, then connect Bus 919 for Badaling Great Wall.

\n5. <\/strong><\/span>Temple of Heaven<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/div>\n
Walk westward for 30 meters and take Bus 814 and get off at Dong Dan, Chongwenmen and Temple of Heaven.<\/p>\n

6. Wangfujing Street or <\/strong><\/span>Beijing Railway Station<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/div>\n

Walk west for 30 meters and take trolley bus No.103 and get off at Wangfujiang or Beijing Railway Station.<\/p>\n

7. Beijing West Railway Station<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Take the underpass to cross the street and Take bus 109 and get off at Xuanwumen, connect bus No.9 or 703 for Beijing West Railway Station.<\/p>\n

8. Beijing South Railway Station<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Walk west for 500 meters and take Bus No. 05 and get off at Qianmen, connect Bus 20 for Beijing West Railway Station.<\/p>\n

9.<\/strong><\/span>Tiananmen Square<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0or Subway Line 01<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Walk west for 500 meters and take Bus No. 05<\/p>\n

10. How to take a <\/strong><\/span>Beijing Taxi<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/div>\n

Walk west for 50 meters and call a cab.<\/p>\n

11. How to take <\/strong><\/span>Beijing Subway Tour<\/span> <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/div>\n

Metro\u00a0Line 1:\u00a0dropp off at Tiananmen West or Tiananmen East Station, walk north through the Tiananmen Tower (Gate of Heavenly Peace), and then you’ll find the Meridian Gate (south gate) of the Forbidden City.
\nMetro\u00a0Line 2:\u00a0drop off at Qianmen Station and walk north through the Tiananmen Tower.<\/p>\n
