This north-south canyon&nbsp;is a 8 km-long, 20m wide and 7m wide at the narrowest.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ravine\u00a0is located between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/beijing-travel\/diaowo-village\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/beijing-travel\/diaowo-village\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Diaowo Village<\/span><\/a> and Lishugou Village, Huangsongyu Township of <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/weekend-trips\/pinggu_district.php\" target=\"_blank\">Pinggu District<\/a>, about 110km east of Beijing. The gorge is well known for its deep valley, original sandstones,\u00a0thick forest, beautiful waters and mysterious caves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Flying Dragon Valley is an important component of Pinggu National Geopark which also consists of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/beijing-travel\/how-to-visit-jingdong-karst-cave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jingsong Karst Cave<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/beijing-travel\/how-to-visit-the-shilinxia-scenic-area\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the Shilinxia Scenic Area<\/span><\/a>. In the Flying Dragon Valley, there are several developed pay attractions like &#8220;Ten Thousand Buddha Gorge&#8221;(\u5343\u4f5b\u5ce1\uff09 and &#8220;Hudong Shui&#8221; (Lake Cave Water \u6e56\u6d1e\u6c34).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">How to get there?<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Take the public bus 918 starting from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/beijing-travel\/dongzhimen-public-transport-hub\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dongzhimen Transportation Hub<\/span><\/a> to the Pinggu Bus Terminal, then change for the local bus 25 for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/beijing-travel\/lady-lees-family-in-diaowo-village\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Diaowo Village<\/span><\/a> or Lishugou Village. No entrance fee for the canyon itself, but you have to pay to visit the Shilinxia Scenic Area, the Ten Thousand Bhuhhda Gorge and the Donghushui Scenic Area.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Travel tips<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">The best time to visit the canyon is between April and October. You may take a private car to drive along the valley and have some pictures&nbsp;from the high terrace on the mountains. If you have strong legs, walking in the valley is highly recommended. Both <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/beijing-travel\/lady-lees-family-in-diaowo-village\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Diaowo Village<\/span><\/a> and Lishuigou Village provide homestay and farmhouse meals for travelers.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Let&#8217;s go!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">The Bus No.25 runs to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/blog\/beijing-travel\/lady-lees-family-in-diaowo-village\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Diaowo Village<\/span><\/a> and Lishugou Village from the Bus Terminal of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tour-beijing.com\/weekend-trips\/pinggu_district.php\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pinggu District<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Flying Dragon Canyon starts from Diaowo Village streches to Lishugou Village with a total length of 8km.
