Your driver should know and abide by all traffic laws;

Important Tip
Please remember to ask for and keep the receipt because there is taxi identification number on it and this comes in handy when you forget some valuables in a taxi.

If You forgot your luggage in a taxi, What can you do?

First, if you have a paper receipt for your taxi ride. It is easy to find the taxi company and contact them for your lost luggage.

If not, things will be a bit complicated. Try the three ways below:

1. Try to remember the color of your taxi and with the help of the local people around you, find the taxi company and call them.

2. With the help of your local Chinese friends, you can contact the local traffic radio station (Each city has a traffic radio), asking them to assist you finding your luggage. Most of the taxi drivers listen to the radio.

3. Call 110 and tell your story. Maybe you have the CCTV (surveillance cameras) on the streets to know the taxi you got off.

    Basically you don’t need to book your taxi since taxis are available 24 hours at Baiyun airport. Have a good time in Guangzhou!

  9. Hi, How much is the taxi fare for 2 people from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to The Westin Shenzhen? Is there any particular color taxi we should take? Do we have to arrange it ahead of time? Our flight arrives at 4:35pm in the afternoon. How long do you think a taxi will take? Thank you so much!

    The taxi ride from Guangzhou airport to The Westin Shenzhen is about 146 km with taxi fare about 450 yuan ( about 75 US$ ). You don’t have to pre-book a taxi, just get to the correct official taxi stand at the airport and wait in line for your taxi ( just forget the “black” illegal taxis ! and go to the official taxi stand!). It takes about 2 hours.

    I think there is an airport shuttle bus service between Guangzhou airport and Shenzhen. But you have to taxi from the your drop-off point in Shenzhen to your hotel in Shenzhen, a bit stressed, but money-saving. Have a good transfer!

    The 70km taxi drive costs about 250 RMB. But we are not sure which taxi company is trusted. In most cases, the taxi service is very personal and individual. Even a trusted company can’t guarantee each individual taxi driver’ service.

    Alternatively, you can take a high speed train from Guangzhou East Railway Station to Dongguan, which takes only 26 minutes, 50 RMB for first class seat.

  21. I just had an altercation with a taxi driver, who does not have a working meter in his car, it showed zero throughout the trip even though it was engaged. I tried to give him the same amount as I paid to do the same journey one way, he wanted double saying that it was not necessary to use the meter after 5pm and he could charge what he wanted. It was about 5.30. Of course had I not known that his meter was not working I would never have got into the taxi. He then followed me into my hotel and stole my belongings.

    No need to take cab.

    You take the shuttle bus from Baiyun Airport to Guangyuan Bus Station (广园汽车站) where you connect the shuttle bus to Humen Central Bus Station.
    Chinese: 广州白云机场, 出站口有专线巴士到广园汽车站，广园汽车站-虎门中心客运站有快班。

    It if not easy to get back what you have lest on a taxi if you don’t have the receipt. You may call 96900, or 96122 ( but in Chinese ) for further information. Good luck!

    Basically you should taxi from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport ot your hotel on Beijing Road, about 35km, 40 minutes and 135 yuan.

    I and my family members am going to arrive at Baiyun Airport at 2:35am on April 16th and I want to ask can we travel to Lilac International Suites at Tianhe District by train or should we travel by taxi? In the event that only taxi is available, I want to ask would it be crowded there at the taxi stops on such Sunday early morning?     1. By Subway
    It is better to travel by train from Baiyun airport to your hotel. You take subway line 3 from the airport and get off at the station of Guangzhou East Station and exit from Exit 1 and walk to your hotel, 180 meters.

    But your arrival at Guangzhou Baiyun airport is too early. The subway is not available.

    2. By taxi,
    It is ok to take a taxi, about 120 yuan , 35km

    Happy you are there to help. We need to go from Baiyun airport to Guangzhou east station ( Train to HK) on april 12th early morning (8h30 am). We will be 4 adults with some big luggage. Do you advise to take a taxi? What would price from Baiyun to Guangzhou east sation? Is price for one drive ( all 4 passengers) or for each passenger? Thank you for your help.

    The taxu fare for a single ride from Baiyun Airport to Guangzhou East Railway Station is about 110 yuan ( approx. 35km ).

    You’ better take two taxis since one taxi basically cannot hold all the big luggage taken by you four.

  48. Today, around 4:00 in the morning I picked up a taxi on the street (I think it was a green one, but not sure), don’t remember the area. Destination was Guangdong Sheng, Guangzhou Shi, Tianhe, Jiang Nan Da Dao, Fangzhi Rd, 1号中海名都. I forgot my luggage in a taxi – dark blue backpack with wheels and a couple of small bags tied down to it. It costed 33 yuans. I just arrived to Guangzhou to work for 2 month, need my clothes and very much. How can I possibly find my luggage or it’s hopeless?

  50. Today at around 5:20 pm I took a green taxi plate number A. 3E7E5 from Baima garments wholesale market to Asia International hotel. After riding the taxi and moving the driver told me that he want me to pay 40 RMB and covered the meter with small towel he had. After I told him no and he needs to let me go down he refused and asked for the money immediately. As I am not aware of what kind of man he was and might cause troubles for me I elected to pay. When arrived the hotel it was only 7-8 minutes trip. He even asked me to go down at the street and not in front of the hotel. He was not friendly moreover. I paid for only 21 RMB from the hotel to the same place. I complained to number 12345 and I hope he will be held accountable for his miss behavior as he reflected bad image on the company
