Pick up from your hotel in Beijing around 8:00am, first visit Drum Tower dating from 1420, ascending the big drum tower and having bird's eye view of the surrounding communities of hutongs and siheyuan. After the tour of the Drum Tower, wander the famous Yandai Xiejie ( Tobacco Pipe Lean Street ), a quaint 800-year-old hutong located directly north of Yinding Bridge between Qianhai and Houhai and the south of the Drum Tower.
Then take a pedicap to visit Da Jinsi Hutong Tao, the most famous hutongs keeping the original layout in the Shichahai area.
After the old hutong tour, you will be arranged to have the outside visits of National Stadium-Bird's Nest and water cube where both Usain Bolt of Jamaica and Michael Phelpsof America make the history 2008 ( entry tickets excluded ).
After having Chinese lunch, head to Tianjin Cruise Home Port Xingang escorted by your Engish speaking tour guide. Xingang Port is about 180 km from Beijing and the drive takes about 2-3 hours. Your tour guide will escort you from the beginning to the end. Your tour guide and driver will give you a hand in carrying your big pieces of luggage to the Tianjin Home Port Xingang Cruise Terminal Building from the parking lot. So the drive will take much longger time in a foggy day and affect your Beijing excursion consequently.
