Xian Locavore Tour Questions & Answers
1. I speak no Chinese, any communication problem?
No, if you are able to speak English. Our English Speaking Guides are good at introducing to you the Xian cuisine and culture.
2. Where to start and what if I don't stay in a hotel within the city wall?
All Xian locavore tours will be operated and improvised within Xian city wall. We offer complimentary tuk-tuk pick up service for the passengers staying within the city wall. If you stay outside the wall, you will receive our detailed email both in English and Chinese guiding you to our starting place.
3. How many people in a daily tour group?
The group size ranges from the minimum one person to maximum 7 persons.
4. What's the duration of each tour?
Our locavore tours basically last between 3-4 hours. We are able to adjust the travel time per your need.
5. Do you offer exclusive private tours?
Yes! We do offer private tours.
Our private tour is rated below:
1-2 people: 200 RMB + per person tour rate
3-4 people: 150 RMB + per person tour rate
5+: No extra charge
For example, a private morning tour for 4 would be 150 + (4 x 300) = 1350 RMB
6. What's the price policy for kids?
Children 12 and under are entitled to a 50 RMB discount for any tour.
7. What's the walking level?
For the morning tour, you will walk about 1 km for the interesting engagement; Evening tour is walk-free and tuk-tuk will be used to bring you to tables.
8. Any offer for a vegetarian, or people with food allergies?
We will do our upmost to meet your specific request. Just contact us and we'll get something for you.
9. Available in rain or snow?
All of our tours are available all year round no matter rain or snow. You are kindly reminded to get geared for bad weather.
10. What do I need to bring?
Basically you just enjoy the tour without your wallet. Everything is included except your own clothing and your good appetite.
11. What's the best time to take the tours?
The four seasons make no difference to a locavore tour and each day is a good day. But for our morning locavore tour, Thursdays and Sundays are a little bit special since there is a special market to be held those days.
12. Do you really offer unlimited beer?
For our morning tour, we offer unlimited beverages; for our evening tour, we offer unlimited beer. You will end at a nice cool bar to make sure you're satisfied for the evening tour.
13. What about the tuk-tuk?
The tuk tuks are small, but we will try our best to make you comfortable throughout the tour. If you don't feel like taking a tuk-tuk, please feel free to let us know in advance, we'll do something to tailor-make a tour for you.
