Tour Description
Free pickup from your downtown hotel in Xian between 8:00am and 9:00am ( Please note your local guide will call you the night before to confirm you the specific pickup time for next day tour).
First visit Big Goose Pagoda (with option for interior visit) for one hour. Consisted of a brick structure of five storeys and about 60 meters high, the Big Goose Pagoda originally built in 589A.D. The Big Goose Pagoda is situated in the Da Ci'en Temple, four kilometers south from the center of the city. It is one of the city's most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian today.

Before moving on to Xian Ancient City Wall for one hour visit, you are arranged to go shopping for about 30 minutes at a local special handicraft store. Xian Ancient City Wall has been preserved intact, which is rarely seen in the world. The construction of the Xian City was formally started in the seventh year of Emperor Hongwu's reign (1374) and completed in the eleventh year of Hongwu's reign (1378). The rectangular city wall is 13.7 kilometers in circumference and has 5,984 crenels and 98 places for the garriosn troops to stay in.

After Chinese style lunch, you will visit Bell Tower and Drum Tower for one hour. In Chinese history from Ming Dynasty, each city had a bell tower and a drum tower. The bell was sounded at dawn and the drum at dusk each day in ancient time, a means of telling time. Xian was not exception. The Bell Tower and Drum Tower of Xi'an date back to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The two are located in the center of the Xian city connecting the four roads from east, south, west and north within the city wall.
