Location: Wuyishan City is located in the north-western part of Fujian Province.

Population: 210,000

Area: 2,798 square kilometers

History: According archeological records, the city was inhabited since 4,000 years ago. Wuyishan was ruled by various dynasties including Yue, Qin, Han, Song and Yuan dynasty. Originally, Wuyishan region was under the administration of the State of Yue, in Southeast China. After Emperor Qin Shihuang (259-210 BC) conquered Yue State, he founded Minzhong Prefecture as a border city, that was the pioneer of the place which is nowadays called Wuyishan City.

Climate: Wuyishan Nature Park situated in the Northwestern part of Fujian Province has a humid subtropical monsoon climate. Wuyishan experience extinct four seasons-spring, summer, autumn and winter. It has a short spring and autumn, but has a long summer and winter.

Transportation: Nanping Wuyishan Airport serves the Wuyishan area.
