The Roaring Tiger Scenic Area
Being one of the 36 most famous mountain peaks in Mt.Wuyi , the Roaring Tiger Peak is very steep and detached from other peaks around. Not only is the mountain in the shape of roaring tiger but also sounds resembling tigers roars can be heard every time the wind sweeps through the pine forest. Legend has it that one deity figure rides on a tiger inside the mountain.
Hence this beautiful alpine name. The Roaring Tiger area , for all intents and purposes, is divided into small units by the rock, similar to perambulating tour routine. The routine generally circle the Roaring Tiger peak with beautiful scenes feasting your eyes one after another.
It usually takes one and a half hour to finish this tour.
