Pick up from your midtown hotel in Beijing and head to Yuyuantan Park. It is located in the western part of Beijing city proper, just next to Diaoyutai National Guesthouse in the East, the CCTV transmitting tower across the street and to Chinese Century Monument in the South. So nearby places of interest include the China Millennium Monument and the 405 meter tall CCTV Television Tower, with great views from the top. The Cherry Blossom Festival at Yuyuantan Park is very famous. The park almost becomes a temple fair every year at flowering time. About 2,000 cherry trees were transplanted from Japan to China in the 1970s as a token of friendship between the two countries. There could be a lot of people, but you will find that it's worth visiting when you view the stunning blossoms.

Then move on to the China Millennium Monument. The China Millennium Monument is dubbed China's symbolic and commemorative structure to usher in the Year 2000 the new Millennium. The China Millennium Monument is composed of immovable cloisters and rotating monument surface, a pointer of 45 meters pointing to the blue sky is put on the upper side of the moument. It rotates one circle a day. It has not only a big open-air stage for performance, but also an exhibition hall.

Continue to ascend the highest building in Beijing - The China Central Television ( CCTV ) Tower for a bird eye's view of the Beijing city. The China Central Television (CCTV) Tower is the highest building in Beijing, China. It has an observation platform at the height of 238m, and the top of its antenna rod is as high as 405m. It offers a panoramic view over the city from its revoving restaurant and watch deck. It is listed as one of the members of the World Federation of Great Towers. The tower was first constructed in 1992, and has the broadcasting equipment for China Central Television ( CCTV ). Lunch will be arranged in its revoving restaurant of the tower. After the whole day tour, return to your downtown hotel.
