Itinerary:
Pick up from your hotel by your private tour guide and car or van around 9:00am. First visit a famous Beijing college for old people. At the aged university, students mainly learn Chinese calligraphy and painting . You will be arranged to attend one class either about Chinese calligraphy or Chinese painting. Most of the students are well into their 70s and 80s. You will be taught by a professor in helping you draw Chinese painting or writing Chinese calligraphy. After attending the class and learning Chinese traditional culture, you will get a certificate - a hard copy document from the college.
After your short learning at Beijing aged univercity, drive to Mr. Kang' courtyard home for the lunch. During the lunch time, the host will teach you how to make Jiaozi ( Chinese Dumpling ). After the home-made lunch, continue to visit a local community school in Beijing. The local community school covers the wide subjects like dancing, knitting, learning English, music, painting, Peking Opera, Gym and Taijiquan. You will be arranged to mix with the locals and take part in the activities you prefer. This day tour provides you much insider knowledge of the old people and local community life in Beijing.
