Beijing Jiu Hua Shan Roast Duck Restaurant
Jiu Hua Shan is big, not quite as pleasant as the Beijing Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurant, but it's more conveniently located for people in the west of Beijing. The ducks here, comparatively low on fat and crispy outside, are reasonable RMB 80 ($11). Sesame buns make a nice choice to conventional pancakes. It is said that it only roasts 200 birds a day, so get there well in advance. A new branch, with the same state-run management, is located inside the Worker's Stadium.
