Pingyao Qujia Courtyard
Qujia Courtyard, located in the Qi county, was set up in Qing Dynasty. Qujia was not only the richest in Qi County, but also the representative of businessman of Jin in Qing Dynasty. Qujia Courtyard we visited now is just one of his courtyards, covering an area of 5,300 square meters. It seems to be an heavily guarded castle from appearance. In the south side of the courtyard, there is a stage. This kind of pattern is the only one in Shanxi Courtyards.
Now it has been a museum of culture of Jin businessman. It holds 8 yards, 28 exhibition halls and over 240 rooms, showing the information of some noted businessmen in Shanxi Province such as Qiaojia, Qijia, Wangjia, Caojia …… It plays an important role for studying the culture of Shanxi Businessman.
