Pingyao Chenghuang Temple
Chenghuang Temple is in the east of Pingyao city, originally built in the early of Ming Dynasty It was destroyed by fire and the preserved one was rebuilt in Qing Dynasty, composed of Chenghuang Temple, Zaojun Temple and Caishen Temple (Mammon Temple).
All the buildings are the relics of Qing Dynasty, small and elegant. The rooftops, covered with refinement colored glaze, are highly praised by visitors. The Colored Glaze of the temple gives priority to yellow, green and blue, looking uniform and right.
Brick carving, woodcarving, stone carving, painted sculpture and fresco are in exquisite sculpt, favonian moral as well as meticulous carving.It is one of the bright phearls in Pingyao, combining art and culture
