6:40PM: Backstage Visit - See the actors and actresses to have the facial makeup. Facial painting is worth appreciating for its artistic value. The paintings tell the characters's roles. For example, a red face usually represents heroic bravery, uprightness and loyalty; a white face depicts a sinister and treacherous character and a green face symbolizes stubbornness, impetuosity and lack of self-restraint.


6:50PM: Sit down and start to have Beijing duck dinner. Beside Beijing duck, we offer two desserts, mixed fried vegetable, cooked chicken, meat balls, fried rice, cuttlefish roe soup and fruits.

Before going for the Beijing opera show, get to know some basic knowledge of Beijing Opera. Go in with an open mind, as this is not the Western style Opera. Expect colorful costumes, intricately painted faces, crazy psychedelic drumming and some acrobatic kung fu simulation. Some visitors think seeing Beijing Opera is really a waste of time and money. So it is impotrtant to have have an open mind. Usually there is a story of a Chinese legend or historical episode. The Monkey King is one of many people's favorites. Colorful makeup with different bright costume and exaggerated eye movement and body gestures. Dancing and acrobatic jumps with fans or swords. Odd mimics, weird jumps and shouts interrupted by those bizarre Chinese sounds.
