We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Tibet Museum

Tibet Museum(西藏博物馆) is located to opposite the eastern road Norbulingka in Lhasa, Tibet's first museum with modern functionality. The museum collection has many precious relics, demonstrating the unique charm of Tibetan history and splendid culture.

Museum divided into three layers: the first floor is a tourist souvenir shops; the second floor is the exhibition on the history of Tibet; the third floor are exhibitions of Thangka, animals and plants, jade and other special exhibitions and temporary exhibitions. Museum exhibition includes four major components: prehistoric cultures, culture and art, indivisible history and folk culture.

Prehistoric cultural exhibition hall shows everyday life stone, nuclear and other Paleolithic stone tools excavated in northern Tibet, and stone adze, stone axes, chisels unearthed in Chamdo, and late Neolithic stone clusters, bone awl, bone needles and all kinds of terracotta, gray pottery, pottery utensils which is a complete reproduction of a few representative before the era of Tibet into the civilized society: the Paleolithic, Neolithic, bronze Age and iron Age.

Through some of the precious historical information, indivisible historical exhibition hall visually reveals the Chinese territory since ancient times Tibet an integral and important part. Culture and the arts exhibition hall and folk culture exhibition hall show beautiful statues, thangkas, pottery, scriptures and other precious artifacts, vividly demonstrated to the audience Tibet's long history and splendid culture.

The museum has audio guide, which can be rented for free at the gate. Into the hall, in front of different exhibits, you can hear the exhibits in Tibetan, Chinese, Japanese and English altogether four languages to explain. For the protection of cultural relics, museum objects provisions are not allowed to take photographs inside the exhibition hall, please comply.
