We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Namtso Lake

Namsto(纳木错), the Tibetan word for: God’s Lake. Namsto Lake is located within the Territory of Dangxiong County, 240 kilometers away from Lhasa. It is one of the Tibetan three holy lakes (the other two are Manasarovar Lake, Yamzho Yumco Lake). Namco covers a vast area of over 1920 square kilometers, is China's second largest saltwater lake in addition to Qinghai Lake. The endless snow mountain in the southeast is the Mount Nyainqentanglha. When the wind is mild and the sun is bright, the towering snow-capped mountains reflected in the lake, looking quiet and peaceful.

There are 18 large and small islands in Namsto Lake, the largest five islands are considered as a symbol of the Buddhist Five Dhyani Buddhas. There are five lakefront peninsula into the water and the peninsulas have different shapes. The lake is surrounded by four temples in the east, west, south and north which are a symbol of Buddhism resentment, anger, power and potential.

Tashi Peninsula has a number of the board room. There are both inns and restaurants where is the only accommodation places in Namsto Lake areas. If you are chartered to Namsto Lake to play, you can stay the night here. You can both enjoy the beautiful sunset at dusk and get up early to greet the sunrise on the Tashi peninsula. In Namsto Lake area, you can even distinguish the outline drawn Galaxy in the night sky at the dead of night.
