Luoyang is the capital city of 11 dynasties for a period of over 1,500 years. The long history leaves Luoyang rich resources of emperor’s tombs.
The tomb museum is a complex of architectures with Han Dynasty, covering an area of 7,600 square meters. The museum is not only the ancient tombs, but also a beautiful garden, because the flourished forest, rockery, fountain distribute orderly.
The museum is divided into two parts: underground and overground. The upground part holds white marble gate, audience hall and side halls both in the east and west. The side halls display the model of graves, buried tools, and simulative buries took place in the originality society and Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, which help the audience understand the ancient funeral vividly.
The underground part is divided into West Han Hall, Wei Jin Hall, Tang Song Hall and the Rest Hall as per the evolvement of dynasties, rebounding 22 representative graves from West Han Dynasty to North Song Dynasty. Along the alleyway show 5 graves of Han Dynasty, 5 graves of Wei Jin Dynasty, 2 graves of Tang Dynasty and 5 graves of Song Dynasty. The colorful fresco is the brilliant character in the museum, made up of fairy tale, history story, celestial phenomena, etc. Besides, the mark on the graves is the prime of the ancient calligraphy.
