Huangshan Attractions

It was called “Three-emperor capital” in ancient times, and “Mt. Yishan” in the Qin Dynasty and “Huangshan” in the Tang Dynasty. Huangshan is reputed as National Treasure and World Wonder and has been called “No.1 Unusual Mountain” in China. It is famous all over the world for its “four super views” – odd pine, grotesque rock, hot spring and sea of cloud. Notable scenic spots are Two Lakes, Three Water-falls, Sixteen Springs, Twenty four Streams, Thirty six Little Peaks, and Thirty six Large Peaks. The scenery is sometimes set in Sunrise, Sunglow or Buddha-ray. The beauty of Huangshan comes from the pines. Since ancient times, there has been a saying that goes like this “where there is a rock, there is a pine; where is a pine, it presents a fantastic view”. The pines on the mountain are diversified and wonderful. And the rocks are numerous and varied. Lotus Peak is like a blooming lotus, Tiandu Peak like a city in heaven and others vividly resemble a monkey looking into the distance across the sea, an angling old man, an embroidering fairy, a tiger with a goat on tis back, a flying stone or a stone drum. Besides, tourists can admire the grand sea of cloud all the year round.
