| I have just returned from a week in Beijing and stayed at the Shatan Hotel, a block away from the Forbidden City, and nesteled amongst some older "Hutongs". The hotel was on the edge of a market street, with lots of tiny restaurants and warmth. We eventually tried some of the restaurants and they were wonderful. May 25, 2006 |

| A good quality 3-star hotel. Clean facilities and clean rooms. friendly staff. The hotel is close to Forbidden City. Getting around is a little bit difficult since it is quite a walk to the subway.
