Harbin Sun Island
The Sun Island lies at the north bank of Songhua River, opposite to the Stalin Park. For its attractive landscape all over the year, the Sun Island is a famous scenic spot and a good reputation place in Chinese north regions. Once a village for Russians, it is now a water-locked sunny natural bathing place with shady trees and belt beaches.
The Sun Island covers an area of 38kms, composing with 20 scenic spots such as Pavilion in Water and Cloud in sky, Crane flock, Mother and Young deer, Youth’s family, Waterside Pavilion and Flying waterfall, making it a scenic area and summer resort.
The Sun Island has four distinct seasons. In Spring, the pediments are bloomy, the grasses are luxuriant, the greenery is flourished, accompanied with singing bird, flowing rivulet, as well as the flying waterfall, the full courtyard overflowing deep spring scenery.
In summer, many lotus flowers in the Lotus lake dancing in the wind, with thick lotus leaves, attract a large number of visitors every year. In autumn, your eye is full of golden yellow. In winter, it will bring you to the immaculate fairy tale world. Besides, the renowned Ice and Snow Carving Festival will be held at that time.
Viewing flowers in spring, playing water in summer, appreciating trees in autumn and admiring snow in winter. Standing along the bank of Songhua River, you will be found surprisingly the Sun Island is more and more brilliant.
