We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

China National Silk Museum was first constructed and opened in Feb.1992. It covers a total area of over 10,000 square meters. It is nestled at the foot of Yuhuang Hill, close to the West Lake. As the first nationwide silk specialized museum, the purpose of the building such nationwide silk specialized museum is to show the world about the 5,000 years of silk development history in China. It comprises of 8 show halls. The exhibits in the museum cover silk products from the Neolithic Age to Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties including present products. What's more, it also demonstrate the three Silk Roads: desert, sea and land, are all showed in the museum.

At the same time, vivid presentatins are offered in some halls, showing the producing process of the silk products. The museum itself is a good blend of culture, tourism and trade.
