Tour Highlights
Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Beijing in the early morning around 7:30am. Get to the Simatai Great Wall around 9:30. This part of your treking is one of the most beautiful sections of the Great Wall. Today's hike is focused on the east section of the Simatai Great Wall - 12 towers. Actually there are totally 16 watchtowers distributed on the Simatai Great Wall snaking the ridge of the steep mountain. The 13th-16th towers are forbidden to hike due to their steepness and treacherousness.
After the hike, then drive to Chateau Changyu AFIP Global Beijing for the romantic lunch and the visit to the beautiful Chateau Changyua as well. Chateau Changyu AFIP is located in Miyun County of Beijing. Chateau Changyu-AFIP is Changyu's newest chateau and is regarded by the OIV as the "new model of global chateau". The chateau provides services including visiting chateau and museum, wine tasting and training, DIY, wine-themed dinners, grapes-picking, wine selling and cellar space operation. The chateau has four functions - brewing, tourism, training and leisure.

2. At Simatai Great Wall, you will meet lots of local vendors who will follow you from the beginning to the end. Don't worry about the these farmer turned vendors. Just treat them with respect and they will treat you the same. They can be quite helpful if you have any difficulty on the way. The local vendors make a living by selling bottled water, postcards, tourist books, T-shirts and souvenirs at higher prices. You are not obligated to buy from them but it can be hard to make them go away. If you don't want to buy anything, tipping is expected.
