Itinerary:
Pick from your hotel in Beijing around 8:00am and drive to the Juyongguan Pass Great Wall. Juyongguan Great Wall is site of an ancient military town which is replete with military installations, watch towers, official residences, temples and other structures. The present Pass was initially built in the Ming Dynasty and received much renovation later. It is a very important strategic place connecting the inner land and the area near the northern border of China. The Great Wall around the Pass extends over 4 km snaking the ridge of the mountains forming the valley. The natural landscape surrounding the Pass is extremely beautiful. Hiking for 2 to 3 hours on its west section. Have lunch at a local restauran.

After lunch, travel to Mangshan National Forest Park. It is located in Changping District, about 40 km from the downtown Beijing. It is the largest national forest park in Beijing with an area of of nearly 1.3 million mu of the plantation. The forest coverage reaches 96.5 percent. The Park has various kinds of trees - more than 170 kids of flowers and trees. In autumn, Cotinus coggygria, maple, torch trees, and Jingko leaves are fighting for turning red and yellow! After the visit to Mangshan National Forest Park, drive back to your hotel in downtown Beijing.
