Beijing Cooking Learning with City Tour

Itinerary:
Pick-up from your hotel and transferred to Beijing Cooking School in the morning. You are arranged to learn a few different dishes and see how they are made from beginning to end, learning the secrets of excellent Chinese cooking. You will prepare one dish yourself with the help from the experts of the school. This is a hands on learning experience. You will have the three dishes as your lunch at the school canteen.
After lunch, go to visit a local market - Jiale Market, where the locals do shopping in preparation for the meals at home. After the market tour, move on to one of the branches of the time-honored store - Daoxiangcun Foodstuffs Store. The store used to a designated light snack factory-styled store catered to the royal family or governmental officials in Qing Dynasty. Now it has become one of the local residents's must-havoure snacks of Beijing. Then have a walking tour of the local community to see the real life of the local people, first hand information on the community life in Beijing. Then visit Ming Dynasty City Wall Relics, a park being built on the one- kilometer-long ruins of ancient Beijing city walls, it was open to the public in May 2002. Then move to explore Beijing Underground City, a relic of the Sino-Soviet border conflict in 1969 over Zhenbao Island in northeast China's Heilongjiang River, a time when chairman Mao Zedong ordered the construction of subterranean bomb shelters in case of nuclear attack.
Then you are arranged at Tianjin Baijiaoyuan Restaurant to see how Chinese Jiaozi ( Dumping ) is made and enjoy them as well. Return to your hotel.
