Welcome to join our Rickshaw tour to explore some of Beijing's old "hutongs", traditional residences cut into blocks by narrow alleyways and to have an exciting experience of daily lives of ordinary Beijingers'.
First, brief introduction to Hutong :
A hutong is an ancient city alley or lane typical in Beijing. Existed as early as hundreds of years ago, narrow lanes, or hutongs were common in ancient Beijing. In the past, several thousand lanes, alleys and quadrangles formed residential areas for ordinary people living in the capital. Today, as the city develops into an international metropolis, its lanes and alleyways, occupying one third of the city proper, still serve as dwellings for half the total urban population.
If sightseeing at the Imperial Palace, Ming Tombs and the Summer Palace is helpful in learning about the lives of China's emperors, the Hutongs of Beijing reflect in turn the lives of ordinary Beijing people as a whole.
Tour-Beijing organizes two Hutong tours: Half day and one day Hutong tours as follows:
Hutong Tour A ( with lunch or dinner )
Duration : 2.5 hours
Morning tour : 09:30-12:00
Afternoon tour : 14:30-17:00

This Hutong tour starts in Shishahai area. There are more than 40 cultural relic protection places in this area.
* Free pick-up service at your hotel at 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM
* Taking men-driving rickshaw as the basic means of transportation
* Going around the deep Hutong in Shishahai area
* Visiting Prince Gong's Mansion, famous in the Qing Dynasty. In the past, princes', generals' and ministers' housed with courtyards were scattered around the outside of the Forbidden City.
* Visiting a kindergarten
* Visiting Bell Tower
* Visiting an ordinary family in a courtyard and have lunch or dinner there with the locals.
After the tour, you are free and back to your hotel on your own.

Taking men-driving rickshaw as the basic means of transportation.Going around the deep Hutong in Dashilan area.Visiting Prince Gong's Mansion, famous in the Qing Dynasty. In the past, princes', generals' and ministers' housed with courtyards were scattered around the outside of the Forbidden City.Visiting a kindergarten and Bell Tower.Then visit an ordinary family in a courtyard and have lunch there with the locals. After lunch, move on to Lama Temple or Yonghegong Lamsery, located in the northeast
part of Beijing City, ia a renowned lama temple of the Yellow Hat Sect of Lamaism. Then drive to Yaxiu flee Market: a free market near the embassy area where you can find a number of duplicates of clothing in traditional Chinese style such as clothes, caps, gloves. Enjoy bargains with sellers! Return to your hotel.
