We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Suzhou Humble Administrator’s Garden

Humble Administrator’s Garden(拙政园), one of the four classic gardens in Suzhou, is there presentation of gardens in southern China. HumbleAdministrator’s Garden, along with other classic gardens of Suzhou were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
 
The garden was originally constructed in Ming Dynasty. In 1510, Wang Xiancheng, an Imperial Envoy and poet, retired to his native home of Suzhou after a long persecution by the East Imperial Secret Service, and began work on the garden. The great project was finished after 16 years.

Covering an area of 52,000 square meters, Humble Administrator’s Garden, The garden contains numerous pavilions and bridges set among a maze of connected pools and islands. There are overall 48 different buildings with 101 tablets, 40 stelae, 21 precious old trees, and over 700 Suzhou-style panzai.

It is insisted of three parts: the eastern part, the middle part and the western part. The Eastern parkt is covered an area of 31 mu and the main attractions of the it are Lan Xue Tang, Pinery Lawn and Tianquan Pavillion.

With the pool for the center, the western part of the garden is covered an area of 12 Mu. Besides the former attractions such as the tower shadow Pavilion and the Stay and Listen Pavilion, Flos Daturae View and Saliu Mandarin Duck Guan, meaning 18 Camellias Hall in English 36 Pairs of Mandarin Duck's Hall in English, are newly built. 

As the main part of the Humble Administrator’s Garden, the central part is featured with the water. About one-third of the area is covered by water and pavilions, towers, and terraces are built around the central pool.
