We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Nanhu Park

Nanhu Park (南湖公园), located in the southeast region of Nanning, is an integrated park dominated by gardens and flora rich in national and subtropical feature. The park is situated within Langdong Development Zones, which is linked Flood-controlling dam, Langdong Village and Langxi Village in the east, embracing Binghu Road, Shuangyong Road in the south, Yaoyuan Road in the west, adjacent to the School of Art in Guangxi, occupied an area of 191.92 hectares, among which 60% of the land are covered by lakes. The predecessor of the park refers to Nanhu nursery and fishery, whereas the park took shape based upon the combination of these two parts. Since 2002 when the charge is free, the handling capacity of passengers of the park reaches up to 5 million annually.

Taking a visit of Nanhu, whether going boating and fishing, or appreciating the abundant subtropical flora, you can make a choice at ease. There are olive trees, Fan Palm, and Alexandra Palm along the bank of green area, Cleidiocarpon cavaleriei, cajeput tree, silver birch along each side of the road. There are also numerous sorts of precious flowers cultivated in Baihua Garden, including Camellia chrysantham Bambusa ventricosa, and other rare sorts of bamboo and woods.

Nanning includes an advanced area which stretches thousands square meters, serving for different usages including amusement service, flower production, aquiculture and so forth, such as also exhibition room of Baise Uprising for memorial, Bonsai Garden and Orchid Garden for appreciation, Children’s amusement park for entertainment. There is Nanhu Square and Expo for precious trees surrounded the park. Take a boat and fully indulge yourself in the splendid landscape of mountains and lakes, flora and grass, as well as rejoice the refreshing smell of nature… the place is exactly suitable for all kinds of needs. Besides, it is also a key region in which held cultural activities during festival.
