We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Lanzhou Attraction
Lanzhou, a city has a 2,000-year history and is the capital city of Gansu. Lanzhou was also in the past called the "Gold City", due to the precious metal that was found here. It is a friendly city with an excellent museum, tasty food and busy downtown shopping areas. The Yellow River, running thick and brown through the city against a backdrop of hills, is one of Chinese classic sights. It is a city worth of visiting.

» Gansu Provincial Museum
Gansu Provincial Museum, the largest and most comprehensive museum in Gansu province, is located in Qilihe district of Lanzhou city. Covering a construction area of 180000 square meters, the museum has a total area of 18,000 square meters, and is well worth a visit.


» Lanzhou Bingling Temple Grottoes
The Bingling Temple Grottoes are a series of Buddhist caves that are situated on a not easily accessible cliff face, about 35 kilometers west of Lanzhou. Construction on the first of the 183 caves began in 366 AD and continued for a thousand year.


» Lanzhou Zhongshan Bridge
Zhongshan Bridge, the first bridge over the Yellow River, is a must see attraction for the first time visitors to Lanzhou. It is located at the foot of White Pagoda Moutain and the west of Lanzhou Waterwheel Park.


» Lanzhou Five Spring Mountain Park
Situated at the north foot of Gaolan Moutain in Lanzhou city, Five Spring Mountain Park takes its named form Hui, Ganlu, Juyue, Mozi and Mengwu Springs.


» Lanzhou Waterwheel Park
Waterwheel is an ancient device that uses flowing or falling water to create power by means of a set of paddles mounted around a wheel. The Watewheel Park, the best representative of Lanzhou, is at the west side of the Binhe Road and to the west of the Yellow River Mother Sculpture.


» Lanzhou White Pagoda Park
Covering an area of more than 8,000 square meters, The fabulous White Pagoda was said to be built in honor of a famous Tibetan Lama, who died from sever illness on his way to meet Genghis Khan founder and emperor of the Yuan Dynasty at Lanzhou City.


» Lanzhou Yellow River Park
Yellow River Park is an open park without walls, in the north of Lanzhou city and in the south bank of Yellow River. Since Lanzhou is the sole large city that the Yellow River pass through, an over 20-kilometer riverbank road was built, becoming one of the longest in China which is praised as “Green Tourism Corridor”.


» Xinglong Mountain, Lanzhou
Located Yuzhong County, about 60km from Lanzhou city, Xinglong Mountain occupies an area of 33, 301 hectares, covering the two mountains of MaLanzhou and Qiyun. The Xinglong Mountain was set up in 1982, and well-known as a green island.


» Yellow River Mother Sculpture, Lanzhou
Yellow River has always been regarded as the mother river of Chinese civilization. The sculpture was carved out of a huge piece of granite in 1986 in Beijing. It is 6 meters long and 2.6 meters high.
