We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Location: Emeishan city (峨嵋山市) lies in the southwest of Sichuan Province. It is in the southwest edge of Sichuan Basin and borders with Chuanxi Plain in the northeast.

Area: with an area of 1151.4 square kilometers

History: In 593, Sui Dynasty, Emei County was set up under the administration of Meishan shire. Subsequently, Suishan county and Luomu county were set up. In Song Dynasty, Suishan and Luomu were merged into Emei under the jurisdiction of Jiading Prefecture. In 1949, Emei county was founded and in 1988, it was upgraded into city-level.

Climate: Under the influence of Subtropical humid monsoon climate, Emeishan has a temperate climate with an annual average temperature of 17.2 degrees. It has an annual precipitation of 1555.3 mm.

Transportation: Air- Chengdu Airport is the closest to Emeishan Scenic Spot.

Waterway-Chengdu-Kunming Railway runs through the whole city. It takes about 15mins to Emeishan Scenic Spot by taxi from Emer Station.

Highway-Jiuzhu Long-distance Transport Center is about 6km away from Emeishan Scenic Spot.
Emeishan Travel Transport Center is in Baoguo Scenic Spot, Emeishan City.

Attractions: Mount Emei-Situated in Sichuan Province, Mount Emei (峨嵋山) is one of the four famous Buddhism Mountains in China. The first Buddhist temple in China was built here in Sichuan Province in the 1st century A.D. in the beautiful surroundings of the summit Mount Emei. In 6th, December, 1996, Mount Emei was designated a World Heritage Site thanks to its breathtaking scenery, mysterious natural wonders, and historical Buddhist sites. Covering an area of 154 square kilometers, Mount Eemei has 26 temples such as Baoguo Temple, Fuhu Temple, Qingyige, Wannian Temple, Hongchuping, Xianfeng Temple, Washing Telephone Pool, Huacang Temple, etc.
