We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Lantern Festival
Lantern Festival is Chinese traditional folk activity held in 15th, January. The 15th day of January is the first night of fullmoon and the begin of new year, so people held lantern festival to celebrate. In ancient, lunar calendar January was named “xiao”. Lantern, as traditional folk handicraft, is made with paper or silk as skin and bamboo or wood strips as bone. Then put a candle or light inside.

Temple of Earth Fair
Temple of Earth (Ditan Park) is the second large in Beijing five temples and also the largest place for sacrificing in existence. It is situated in Andingmen Street in Dongcheng District with an area of 37.4 hectares. It was firstly built in 1530 in Ming Dynasty to worship deities. In 1984, it was ranked as the cultural relics protection units in Beijing.
