We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Region is located in the northwest of Hunan province and borders with Hubei province, Guizhou province and Chongqing city.

Zhuang (壮族) is the second largest nationality in China with a population of more than 17,000,000. From generation to generation, Zhuang nationality settle down in the north and west of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the southeast of Yunnan province, Guangdong province, Guizhou province, and the junction between Hunan province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Tujia (土家族), with an population of 8,353,912, is ranked in the seventh place, next to Zhuang nationality, Hui nationality, Manchu, Uighur, Miao nationality and Yi nationality.

Yao (瑶族) is an ancient nationality of China, mainly inhabiting in mountain area. Yao nationality has a population of 2,853,000 according to the census in 2010

Li (黎族) is one of the ethnic minorities in the south of the five ranges. It mainly settles down in two cities and seven countries in Hainan province. According to the 5th census in 2000, Li nationality takes up a population of 1,247,814.

She (畲族), a nationality of shifting cultivation in South China, takes up a population of 708,651. For thousands of years, She people migrated from its original resident—Genghuang Mountain, Chaozhou city, Guangdong province to Fujian

» Gaoshan Nationality

Gaoshan nationality (高山族) mainly settles down in the mountain area in the middle of Taiwan, the valley plain in the east and Lanyu Island. According to the census in 2008, they have a population of 494,107.

» Mulao Nationality

Mulao nationality (仫佬族) is evolved from the ancient “liao”. They mainly distribute in Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County of Guangxi. Mulao has a population of 207,352 on the basis of the 5th census in 2000.

» Maonan Nationality
Maonan Nationality
Maonan (毛南族) is one of the hill tribes in China with fewer population. They are call the aboriginal people living in the Lingxi. At present, they mainly settle down in Huanxiang Maonan Autonomous County of Jiangxi province.

» Gin Nationality

Gin nationality (京族) is an ancient ethnic minority with a history of more than 500 years. His ancestor migrated to China from Vietnam. They mainly populate in Dongxing city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Prefecture. In 1950s, Wutou, Neixin and Manwei Autonomous County were set up.
