We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Tu Nationality

Description: Tu nationality (土族), with a population of 290,000, mainly distributes in Tu Autonomous County of Huzhu, Minhe Hui and Tu Autonomous County, Datong Hui and Tu Autonomous County and Tongren County in Huangnan Tibet Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai province. It engaged in agriculture.

Language: Trran.

Religion: Tu nationality believes in Lamaism. There are more than 40 Lama monasteries in Tu region such as well-known Youning temple, Guanghui temple and so on.


















Clothing Character: Clothing of Tu nationality is special and unique. Jacket both man and woman has embroidered high collar. Man is used to wearing robe with two black edge sleeves and tying embroidered waistband. Cnemis is tied a band with top black and below white. They wear yurt hat on head and cloth shoes with the pattern of cloud.

Arts: Tu women are skilled in embroidering. They like to embroider various patterns on collar, cuff and robe. Tu people draw pictures with the symbol of harvest on the wall, window and pillar of temple.
