A delightful stay. It was like a breath of fresh air! Everything was clean, comfortable, and in working order! Bearing in mind that Chengdu is not like Shanghai or Beijing, it is a second tier cit, but has a great sense of southern hospitality. The staff were very friendly and helpful with a significantly above average level of English for China They have a great variety of food and beverage outlets with an onsite Paulaner Micro-Brewery which opens daily from 4pm and a petit Kempi Deli, to satisfy your chocolate cravings, which we loved. The Kempinski is on the higher end if you are on a tight budget, but for us, it definitely worth it!

After reading some negative reviews about this hotel, I felt the need to describe my experiences. After arriving at the Hotel at 7am after an overnight flight, the friendly reception staff were extremely helpful arranging early access to my room. The room was clean, spacious with a huge bed and modern bathroom. The prices represent good value for money and the hotel restaurants were of great quality. As a regular visitor to Chengdu, I will definately be making this my first choice from now on.

We stayed at the Kempinski Chengdu for 3 weeks recently and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel, facilities and food are all very good. The rooms were very clean and the staff really friendly and helpful. The hotel is at a great location from which to explore the city. We were very sad to leave at the end of our trip and would definetly recommend it.
