Thank you so much for the awesome service today! Steven Zhang and the driver, Mr Liu, were great for our trip to Chengdu. Steven was on the platform exactly where we stepped off of the train, and he did a great job as our local guide in Chengdu. The van for the tour was clean and in good condition. Everything was as good as possible. We are so glad we went to Chengdu for the cute giant panda. That was the most wonderful part of the trip. The guide, Steven I think, was the very best. If I have a chance to visit China again, I will use your services again and I also will recommend to all my friends. I'm hoping the coach tours will be a great experience as well.
Thanks again,
Jack Benzel
Mt. Emei is one of China’s four sacred Buddhist Mountains and has been a popular place of pilgrimage for the past 1800 years. Emei literally means “Delicate Eyebrow Mountain”- it derives its name from two peaks which face each other and look like the delicate eyebrows of a Chinese classic beauty.
Mt. Emei is noted for its enjoyable natural scenery, extensive Buddhist culture, abundant range of species and unique landform. Thus it gets such titles as “Kingdom of Plants”, “Geological Museum”, “Animals’ Paradise” and “Buddhist Celestial Mountain”.
Continuous ranges of peaks and tall trees cover the mountain. Water flows swiftly as if it were flying. Birds are singing and pretty butterflies are dancing. Monkeys are the soul of Mt. Emei, they are lovely, naughty but friendly to people.
It is said that Buddhism was brought to Mt. Emeishan in the first century BC. After nearly 2,000 years of development, Mt. Emeishan has become a place rich in Buddhist heritage, which has made it an influential sacred place in China and even in the whole world. There are vivid and exquisite statues of Buddha made of clay, wood, jade, bronze and porcelain.
Do not forget the four spectacles of Mt. Emei: Sunrise, Cloud Sea, Buddha Rays, and Saint Lamps.
